Ombudsperson (Workers' Compensation)
The primary role of the Ombudsperson is to resolve concerns and misunderstandings through informal discussions with the injured employee and to serve as an advocate for non-represented employees. Ombudspersons provide information to the employee, assist with setting up and completing paperwork for med-legal examinations, answer questions, listen to concerns, investigate complaints, and help avoid or resolve problems before they become formal disputes. Claims examiner workers’ compensation
The primary role of the claims examiner is to analyze complex or technically difficult claims to determine benefits due; to work with high exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation; to ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements; and to identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
